Accepted Insurances

Wood County Hospital accepts most commercial health insurance plans offered in the area including: 

*Attention patients with employer-sponsored insurance through Bon Secours Mercy Health: Wood County Hospital is not covered under your health plan. 
**Wood County Hospital participates in most Medical Mutual commercial plans except for the MedFlex Network.

Please note: there are plans offered in the area that do not include a network of contracted providers and elect to pay rendering providers based on a standard index rate – often Medicare.  As these plans do not have an agreement with Wood County Hospital to accept the rates they have unilaterally set, patients presenting with an ID card for such a plan will be registered as self-pay.

* Wood County Hospital is in-network with the Perennial Advantage Institutional Special Needs Plan (I-SNP).  However, Wood County Hospital is out-of-network with the Perennial Advantage HMO-POS plan.

**Wood County Hospital is in-network with United Healthcare/AARP Medicare Advantage plans.  However, Wood County Hospital does not participate in the AARP Medicare Select Plans, which are Medicare supplement plans with a limited network of providers.
