WOW January Award Winner – Brad Lowe, Paramedic
The WOW Patient Experience Initiative recognizes team members who engage with patients/families, visitors and employees in exceptional ways, providing a superior level of commitment and reflecting the values of Wood County Hospital (WCH). Brad Lowe, Paramedic, was selected as the January WOW Patient Experience award winner for going above and beyond for a patient transferred to WCH in the middle of the night. The patient’s CT scans were left behind but were necessary to receive the surgery the next day. Without hesitation, Brad drove to the hospital the patient was transferred from to retrieve the CT scans. This act of kindness helped avoid any further delays or unnecessary testing before the surgery could occur as scheduled. Brad has been with Wood County Hospital for 5 years and shared the most rewarding part of his job is providing ancillary support for a great team of nurses.
