Wood County Hospital Welcomes Hany Jacob, M.D.
Wood County Hospital welcomes Hany Jacob, M.D., FCCP, D, ABSM to its medical staff. Dr. Jacob has been appointed as Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit effective October 27, 2014. He is a long established pulmonologist and intensivist in the Toledo area.
Dr. Jacob will be available for critical care and pulmonary care consults. He will help the WCH hospitalists and specialist physicians in caring for ICU patients. Additionally, he will assist the Emergency Department physicians in the triage and critical care decision-making process. In his role as Medical Director, Dr. Jacob will be actively involved in the management and development of the critical care program at Wood County Hospital.
Dr. Jacob obtained his medical degree at Cairo University School of Medicine in 1980. He completed residencies in Pathology and Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland in 1986 and 1989 respectively, and fellowships in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1992.
Dr. Jacob is board certified in Internal Medicine, as well as Sleep, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
