Wood County Hospital Welcomes David P. Barnes, M.D.

Wood County Hospital welcomes David P. Barnes, M.D., board certified family medicine physician to the medical staff. He will be joining Dr. Tom Wojciechowski and the Wood County Medical Associates practice effective June 23, 2014. Dr. Barnes will provide the entire spectrum of family practice services to patients of all ages.

Dr. Barnes obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Rootstown, Ohio in 2007. He completed a residency in Family Medicine at The Toledo Hospital Family Medicine Residency in 2010. He has practiced medicine in both private practice and hospice settings in Northwest Ohio. His special clinical interests include sports medicine, orthopedics and hospice care.

Dr. Barnes is an active volunteer for numerous Christian mission organizations. Prior to joining Wood County Medical Associates, Dr. Barnes will travel to Guatemala where he will serve as team physician at a soccer camp for children who live in violent parts of Guatemala City. He is married to Dr. Joy Barnes, who is also a family medicine physician and they live in Perrysburg with their four sons.
