Wood County Hospital to offer Look Good…Feel Better program
The American Cancer Society helps female cancer patients with the Look Good…Feel Better program. Guided by a volunteer cosmetologist, female cancer patients who participate in this class learn how to use make-up and skincare techniques to overcome the appearance-related effects of chemotherapty and radiation.
Look Good…Feel Better is offered through a partnership of the American Cancer Society; the Cosmetic, Personal Care Products Council Foundation; and the National Cosmetology Association. Classses and materials are provided free of charge to women in active cancer treatment. An upcoming session will be offered in Wood County at Wood County Hospital on Thursday November 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. To ensure women receive a makeup kit, they must register no later than the Friday prior to the session by calling 888-227-6446. To help meet the needs of women going through cancer treatment, other sessions are offered at different times and locations. .
