WCH Hosts Program on Diabetes
Wood County Hospital is sponsoring two programs in October for individuals interested in knowing more about diabetes.
On Thursday, October 11 from noon to 1 p.m., the Diabetes Interest Group is hosting an Ask the Expert panel discussion in the hospital meeting rooms. The panel includes family physician and diabetes lecturer, D. Wayne Bell, M.D., pharmacist Debra Parker, and clinical dietitian and diabetes educatork Jane Graffin.
The panelists will cover a range of topics related to diabetes, including herbal remedies, medications and diet. The audience is encouraged to ask all their questions about diabetes.
Attendees can purchase a discounted meal ticket in the cafeteria prior to the meeting. Registration is not required.
On Tuesday, October 16 from noon until 1 p.m., the Wellness Department is offering free diabetes screenings to the public at the Bowling Green Community Center, 1245 W. Newton Road.
