Hospital to Sponsor Multi-Part Series About Alzheimer’s Disease
Wood County Hospital will be sponsoring a multi-part series for people with Alzheimer’s or related dementia on Thursdays, March 6, 13, and 20, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This free program will meet in the Wood County Hospital Meeting Rooms, 950 West Wooster Street. Please use the Meeting Room Entrance in rear of the hospital.
The program will focus on the person who has memory changes due to Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. We will discuss memory changes, everyday coping skills, building a support system, and hope. Individuals with early stage memory loss, who are experiencing forgetfulness, mild confusion, or difficulty finding the right words are most likely to benefit from this series.
Family and friends of individuals affected by this disease are also welcome to attend this event. However, caregivers could benefit more by attending other programs provided by the Alzheimer’s Association that are specifically designed to assist those who provide direct care.
To register or for more information, call the Alzheimer’s Association at 800-272-3900, Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
