Heroin/Opiate Awareness Event
Wood County Hospital Wellness Services, Team Recovery, the Governor’s Cabinet Opiate Action Team, Wood County Educational Service Center, BGSU Recreation and Wellness, Wood County Opiate Task Force, and the Wood County Prevention Coalition, are joining forces to offer a free event to the community aimed at sharing information on the opiate epidemic that has impacted local communities, families and the state.
Bowling Green, Ohio, September 14th – Andrea Boxill, the Deputy Director of the Governor’s Cabinet Opiate Action Team will be speaking at this free public event about the impact that the addiction epidemic has had on the community and families within these communities. She will also share what the state government is doing in response to this deadly disease of addiction.
A representative of Team Recovery will speak about his/her battle with addiction and how Team Recovery can assist addicts to find help and resources to become and stay sober.
The event will be held in Room 101 in BGSU’s Olscamp Hall. Resource tables will be available from 5:30pm-8:30pm and the guest speakers will share starting at 6:30pm.
