Health Fair Features Wealth of Health Info

The Wood County Hospital and Sentinel-Tribune 2013 Health Fair will be held Jan. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Simpson Bldg.

There will be free health screenings, including blood pressure, bone density and vascular (choice of one screening for abdominal aorta, legs or carotid artery).

Speakers include:

• Hammad Amer, M.D., vascular specialist, will discuss controling vascular disease at 9:30 a.m.
• Kenneth Power, M.D., family medicine, will talk about tests and screenings that adults need at 10 a.m.
• Healthy grocery shopping on a budget is the topic of Connie Porter, R.N., diabetes educator, and Ryan Majcher, registered dietitian, at 10:30 a.m.
• Krystal Eichenlaub, Wood County Hospital Sleep Disorders Center, will discuss sleep disorders at 11 a.m.

There will be prize drawings every half hour.
Home Depot will sponsor a kids corner.
There will be several featured vendors at the show as well.
