Free Mammograms Available for Uninsured and Underinsured Area Men and Women
The Women’s Center at Wood County Hospital is hosting a free mammogram screening event on Saturday, October 22 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. for area women and men who are either uninsured or underinsured. A physician order is required in order to schedule the mammogram.
Wood County Hospital is one of six hospitals in the Northwest Ohio region in partnership with The Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio and with funding from the Northwest Ohio Affiliate of Susan G. Koman for the Cure to be awarded a grant for the free mammogram screening project. The project will impact Wood County and surrounding areas by increasing mammography rates and increasing breast health knowledge.
