He is board-certified in Family Medicine and has been involved in professional memberships, including the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA). Dr. Walsh has a clinical interest in internal medicine and non-healing wounds, particularly what makes one wound heal quickly and another identical wound heal slowly. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, swimming and going to flea markets.
“I decided to become a doctor when I was in eighth grade. I wanted to be in a part of science where I wasn’t stuck in a lab and was around people, maybe a little bit of detective work too. When I thought of becoming a doctor, it fit the bill for all of these things and I think it’s still true today.” – Dr. Richard Walsh
