Dr. Osama Elattar joins the Wood County Advanced Orthopaedics Team
Dr. Elattar provides patients with advanced, personalized orthopedic care in the Wood County Advanced Orthopaedics office. Dr. Elattar has a special interest in foot and ankle surgery, as well as ankle replacement surgery. He also has a clinical interest in sports medicine and shoulder and knee surgery using arthroscopic (minimally invasive) techniques.
Through Dr. Ellatar’s knowledge and experience, he works to provide patients with the highest quality orthopedic care. Dr. Elattar received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Cairo School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. There, he also completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology. He has completed several fellowship programs, such as a Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and a Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at Boston University and University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Elattar encourages patients to take foot and ankle pain more seriously, as it often leads to pain in other areas of the body, such as the knees or back.
“People really overlook foot and ankle pain and assume it is something that will work itself out eventually, but in many cases it does not.”
