Dr. Hadziahmetovic Joins the Team at The Maurer Family Cancer Care Center

Dr. Mersiha Hadziahmetovic is board certified in radiation oncology and serves as a Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology. She delivers compassionate, patient-centered care, through individualized treatment plans. Dr. Hadziahmetovic cares for patients with all types of cancer and has a clinical interest in head and neck, breast, lung, prostate, and skin cancer, as well as integrative oncology.

She is a member of numerous medical societies including the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and the American Brachytherapy Society. Additionally, she has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on various topics relating to the advancement of oncologic care. She has served on committees dedicated to the improvement of cancer care and survivorship.

Dr. Hadziahmetovic’s extensive background in radiation oncology paired with a special interest in clinical research enables her to provide high-quality patient care. Dr. Hadziahmetovic graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Medicine where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for being in the top 10% of her class. She completed internship training at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, and specialty training at The James Cancer Hospital of The Ohio State University Medical Center. She also did a part of her specialty training at the University of Texas Medical Branch, as well as M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
