Diabetes Interest Group Hosts Program on Skin Care and Diabetes
Diabetes can affect every part of the body, including the skin. According to the American Diabetes Association, as many as one third of people with diabetes have a skin disorder caused or affected by diabetes at some time in their lives. In fact, such problems are sometimes the first sign that a person has diabetes. Luckily more skin conditions can be prevented or easily treated if caught early.
On Thursday, November 8 from noon to 1 p.m., the Diabetes Interest Group at Wood County Hospital will host a program on Skin Care and Diabetes in the hospital meeting rooms. Evan Martin, physician assistant with Dillon Dermatology is the presenter.
The free program is open to the public. Bring your lunch or purchase lunch in the cafeteria. Registration is not required. For more information, call (419) 354-8863, option 3.
