Celebrating National Doctor's Day

March 30th marks the annual observation of National Doctor’s Day. This day was established by Eudora Brown Almond, the wife of Dr. Charles Almond. The first celebration included mailed cards and flowers at gravesides of past doctors. The red carnation has come to be the symbol of the Doctor’s Day observance.

Today we recognize our physicians at Wood County Hospital, their work and their contributions to society and the community. We say “thank you” for all that they do for us and our loved ones. Wood County hospital has over 35 specialties and over 220 physicians on staff.
