5,000th Vaccination
On Thursday, March 4, we held our 33rd vaccine clinic and celebrated an exciting milestone vaccinating our 5,000th individual. Kathi Brose was the 5,000th person to be vaccinated and has ties to the hospital and community. She worked as an STNA for 5 years and worked at Wood Lane and with the local schools. Her daughter, Hannah Brose, was the 500th person to be vaccinated at WCH and currently works in our Emergency Department as an administrative assistant with the Advanced Care Emergency Medicine Group. Hannah was a volunteer with WCH for 2 years prior to her role in the ER. Kathi’s mother, Bonnie Darnell, also worked at WCH for approximately 30 years as a therapist in the Rehabilitation Services Department. Kathi was happy to qualify for the vaccine and be the 5,000th person to get vaccinated. She enjoyed celebrating the recognition with her daughter.
Todd Leopold, Director of Pharmacy (Pictured third from the left), shared, “This has been a very rewarding experience for everyone working on the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. We have an exceptional team, and their great customer service is recognized by all our patients. I look forward to the day that we have this pandemic under control, and the COVID-19 vaccination is helping us make this happen. We have now vaccinated a total of 5046 individuals thus far, and we have NOT wasted any doses of vaccine. I look forward to the day we are able to vaccinate our 10,000th patient.”
