2022 Healthy Worksite Platinum Level Award
Wood County Hospital was awarded the 2022 Healthy Worksite Platinum Level distinction from the Healthy Business Council of Ohio (HBCO). Wood County Hospital was one of 96 Ohio employers recognized for demonstrating a commitment to employee wellness through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs.
The Healthy Worksite Award recognizes Ohio employers who demonstrate a commitment to employee wellness through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs. Applicants are scored on the extent their wellness programs facilitate and encourage employee health, enhance productivity, and ensure a healthy work environment.
“We are thrilled to be the platinum winner of the Healthy Worksite Award for the 2nd year in a row. We are very appreciative to be recognized by the Healthy Business Council of Ohio for our work to improve the lives of not only our patients, but also our employees and staff, by ultimately improving their health and lifestyles. Our employees are our greatest resource, and we are grateful for our employee’s participation and positive response to the many opportunities we provide to improve the lives of those around us,” shared Teri Laurer, Director of Wellness Services at Wood County Hospital.
All applications for the awards were reviewed and evaluated using objective criteria. Four levels of high achievement were awarded in 2022 —Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, in addition to an entry-level tier of “recognition.” To celebrate the accomplishments of Ohio worksites and their efforts to pivot and adapt during the pandemic, a Pandemic Response Section was included in this year’s extensive award application.
The online award application is available to all Ohio-based worksites from mid-August through late October each year. For a full list of 2022 award winners, please visit the HBCO’s Healthy Worksite Award website.
