When you arrive at the hospital to deliver your baby, you will not want to deal with a lot of paperwork. Our Family Birthing Centers’ Pregnancy Education and Paperwork Program (PEPP) gives you an opportunity to be completely prepared for your baby's birth. Our nurse educator will meet with you before your delivery date to complete the hospital admission paperwork in a private, relaxed setting. We recommend that you pre-register between the 32nd and 36th weeks of your pregnancy.
The PEPP program was designed to help you learn what to expect during your hospital stay and address issues that are specific to your needs. Admission and newborn paperwork will be started, and a registered nurse, car seat technician and a lactation specialist will be available to answer questions.
As a reminder, each time you come to the hospital for testing, lab work or to have your baby, you should stop in the admitting department to be registered. This program does not register you for your hospital care.
Plan approximately 2 hours for this visit, and to make this appointment beneficial to you, please bring your baby’s car seat so a car seat technician can properly fit the seat into your vehicle.
