2024 Hops & Vines Event Raises Funds for Emergency Department and Family Birthing Center
This year, the Wood County Hospital Guild raised over $72,000 from its annual Hops & Vines fundraising event for the Emergency and Obstetrics Departments.
On Friday, October 4, several community members and hospital staff gathered together to showcase the community's commitment to supporting healthcare in Wood County.
Attendees enjoyed a wide selection of international wines and locally brewed craft beers. These were paired with food selections, including a carving station with beef tenderloin sliders, a mac-and-cheese bar and a sushi bar. There was an ice cream sundae station and a variety of sweets for dessert.
Local band CBR provided live music, adding energy to the event. A photo booth was also available, allowing attendees to take home printed memories of the night.
The success of the evening was due to the efforts of various groups. Special recognition goes to the event's sponsors, who provided financial support. Key departments from Wood County Hospital, including the Dietary team, Foundation, Maintenance, E.S./Linen and Marketing staff, worked to ensure the event ran smoothly. A group of members of the BGSU also volunteered their time to help throughout the evening.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the event and all who helped make this event possible.
